St Petrock’s Gardening Club.
We are a small, friendly, gardening club that has been running since 2012. We meet in St Petrock’s Church at 7.30pm on the 1st Monday of each month, unless other wise stated, commencing in March.
We have a variety of speakers, on a wide range of topics, followed by a raffle and refreshments. A competition of ‘the best flower in my garden today’ is held at each meeting and a small prize is awarded, at our annual Christmas social, for the most points over the year.
Members are encouraged to grow seedlings and plants to sell at our popular annual plant sale and cream tea. We try to have two trips to local gardens, with a cream tea afterwards, during the summer months. We also encourage members to support the Village Show, held annually, in August.
Our subscriptions are £10 a year and then £1 per meeting. New members or visitors are always welcome.
