Timberscombe Post Office and Store is open on:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays open 9am -1pm and 2pm -5pm
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays open 9am -1pm
Sundays closed all day.
The Post Office provides the usual Post Office services and also sells a stock of basic goods. The Post Office supports the “Produced in Exmoor”campaign and stocks locally produced bread, honey, jam, pork products, eggs, pickle, sausage rolls, soap and crafts. Glenmore Bakery cakes can be ordered from the Post Office.
The Post Office/shop acts as an informal social centre. It’s a place to meet neighbours and to catch up on village news and issues. It is also a place to advertise jobs, items for sale and wanted, read about local events and to buy tickets. It is an important information point for delivery drivers, visitors, health workers and house hunters.
Other services
- MEDICATION: We are the distribution agent for the local doctors’ surgery so you can collect your medication from the Post Office.
- BOOK/PUZZLE EXCHANGE: We have a large collection of used books and puzzles for purchase. There is no cost if you return the book/puzzle in exchange for another
- EXMOOR INFORMATION: We keep a selection of local walks, maps and information provided by the Exmoor Tourist Information and others.
- CARDS: We keep a selection of cards for various occasions , some of these are made locally.
