‘Our Precious Earth’ in Holloway Street in Minehead now accepts the following items for recycling:
plastic pens
toothbrushes
toothpaste tubes
medicine blister packs
Also corks (but real ones!).
If you haven’t already come across it, the shop offers a wide range of sustainable, zero-waste household goods, toiletries and gift ideas. It’s well worth a look as the owner, Keith, stocks a variety of interesting and unusual items.
Keith was inspired to set up the shop after years of beach cleaning and seeing the damage that plastic causes in the environment.
The Repair Cafe will be at Porlock on Saturday 27th January.

We are delighted to announce the return of the Stoggymen, after too long a break from our village.
The men from Stogumber will be singing a selection of traditional and not so traditional
West Country songs, and sea shanties.
Lyrics to make you laugh and songs to sing along to.
The group have raised thousands of pounds for charities in the area.
