Somerset Waste Partnership (SWP) has reluctantly decided to suspend garden waste collections for six weeks from Monday 2 August.
Collections are expected to restart from Monday 13 September.
We apologise for this temporary measure, which is essential to support rubbish and recycling collections.
Suspending garden waste collections allows us to redeploy staff to support vital rubbish and recycling services.

Post Office
Please note that Timberscombe Post Office will be closed from Saturday 24th July until 9am on 9th August for Sarah’s annual holiday.
Prescriptions will be available for collection from 3rd August onwards. A notice will be placed on the PO door specifying collection times.

Witnesses sought
Officers are investigating a break-in at the memorial hall, in High Street, overnight on 8-9 July.
The offender(s) managed to make their way into the property and attacked a ATM.
No money was taken.
We would also ask anyone with CCTV footage of the High Street or Priory Green areas to get in touch, as well as those who may have seen people acting suspiciously that night.
We’d also ask anyone who was driving in the vicinity at about 3.40am and may have seen another vehicle or has dashcam to contact us on 101 giving reference 5221154418.
