Frozen 2 at the Regal

The Regal Theatre Minehead is hosting  a very special matinee screening of Frozen 2, on Saturday, December 12, at 2.30 pm

The afternoon will be opened by dancers from LAAD Dance Academy – and Queen Elsa is expected to pop in too.  But she expects to meet many handsome Princes and beautiful Princesses, so children are invited to dress up, maybe getting Mum or Dad to help make a Prince or Princess costume to wear when they come to watch Frozen 2 at the Regal

There are prizes to be won too – and a Lucky Dip Bran Tub with something for everyone!

Tickets must be booked in advance via the Box Office 01634 706430

Rigorous government guidelines ensure audiences and volunteers are protected, with safety precautions and social distancing measures in place.  Those who attended events when we first reopened in early September gave very positive feedback about their experience, saying they felt confident that their safety was given utmost priority.

But safe-distancing does mean the auditorium can seat far fewer that its usual capacity, so when booking tickets please remember, it will be first come; first served!

PS  The next matinee to follow Frozen 2 is Nutcracker on Saturday 19th December

Shop Local for Christmas

With Government lockdown restrictions easing to allow the re-opening of shops from today, we’re sending a little reminder to remember to shop smart, shop local, and Shop Somerset this December.

There is now over 250 independent businesses to choose from on our new easy-to-use listing site.

From farm shops to charcuteries; cheese-makers to clothing designers; jewellers to chocolate-makers – we’re pretty sure you’ll be able to find all you’ll need from a business, near you, this Christmas.

Here is the link to the Dunster Festival website and the Christmas Musical Advent Calendar.

Every day from 1 to 25 December a new video will appear on the site and on the Dunster social media twitter page at https://twitter.com/dunsterfest featuring six socially-distanced Dunster Festival artists in various combinations singing and playing some of the nation’s most loved Christmas carols.

Dunkery Beacon Country House

Just a quick note to all to say a huge thank you, once again, for all the support we have had with the takeaway meals during this last lockdown. We will be resuming service in the Coleridge Restaurant from Friday 4th, and will be open from 6.30pm each weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday Evening) up until Sunday 20th, with the exception of Wednesday 23rd which will be our last public evening before Christmas.  Please also note we will be offering a Sunday Roast on the menu, surprisingly each Sunday! As our area has now unfortunately been placed in Tier 2, bookings will be limited to single household tables, although a table of three is allowed if you are in a support bubble (max 2 households) or, if you’re happy to sit on adjacent tables, 2 couples may also dine as a four.
