Claire’s Kitchen Trailer Ending

Dear All,  Thank you for supporting Claire’s Kitchen trailer nights, but unfortunately these will be stopping with immediate effect as I will be relocating more centrally to my home village of Wootton Courtney. Mondays are just not working and will be starting Thursday evenings at Wootton Courtenay village hall on Thursday March 5th,with best wishes Claire

8 hour slow roasted home reared pork belly, served with creamy mash, porky onion gravy and carrots £7.00
Korean crispy chicken in brioche with kimchi style slaw, korean style mayonaise and double cooked chips £6.00
Vegetable Makhani (indian curry with red lentils) served with rice and a mini naan £6.50

Community Council for Somerset Agents are around to help you to get the most out of your life.  Village Agents work with anyone who asks for support and can be found in your parish magazine and website and on our website www.somersetagents.org

Carers Agents will support you if you are over 18 and are looking after someone in an unpaid capacity whether that’s your child if you are their Carer, partner, relative or friend – lots of advice  and support options can be found at www.somersetcarers.org or by calling our freephone helpline 0800 3168 600.

Community Agents will support you with a referral from Adult Social Care (call Somerset Direct on 0300 123 2224) or may work direct from your local doctor’s surgery. And finally, our transport agent is working on transport solutions for the whole county.

Yoga Sessions this Spring

Spring Yoga Day – Wood Element

As the days get longer and green triumphs in the natural world, it’s a perfect time to deepen our physical yoga practice and to immerse ourselves in the energy of the wood element.  Dynamic stretches, twists, creativity and playfulness all feature in this element and we will bring these into a strong practice, that will challenge, stretch and
‘sweep the cobwebs out of the corners!’

Yoga will be from 10.00am – 12:30pm, and will include a long relaxation, followed by a 2-course vegetarian lunch.  Lunch will include foods to support the liver and gall bladder as we move further into spring.

Introduction to Simple, Satisfying Yoga – Back to Basics

If you haven’t tried yoga before, or it’s been a long time, or you are simply looking for a simple, satisfying and relaxing experience, then this morning will be a perfect chance to immerse yourself in yoga.

This 2-hour practice will include postures to stretch and awaken the whole body, basic breathing practice, and a long relaxation.

Yoga will be from 10.00am- 12.00pm, and then we’ll share a delicious, nourishing vegetarian lunch.
