Somerset Wildlife Trust

I’m reaching out from Somerset Wildlife Trust with our latest press release, announcing an appeal to address the devastating spread of non-native invasive plant species on nature reserves across Somerset. This a match-funded appeal, which means every pound donated will be doubled automatically, and it is launching as part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge — which runs between the 3rd of December to the 10th of December.

  • You can find the full press release as an attachment (please note the embargo for Tuesday 3rd December, 12pm midday)
  • Images and a video can be accessed using this link: https://we.tl/t-jRFeC3qAgn (this link will expire in 3 days — please contact me to request a new one)
  • Interviews and additional quotes can be arranged with our team on request.
  • From Tuesday 3rd December at midday, donations can be made through the Big Give website: https://donate.biggive.org/campaign/a056900002TPVZLAA5

Thank you so much for your support, and we hope you’ll help us spread the word about this appeal.

Police Notice

As part of our Anti Social Behaviour Awareness week, we wanted to share a video with you. It features a resident telling his story of how persistent anti-social behaviour affected his family’s life. There’s lots of useful information in there about the reporting process and how the police were able to support him.
