St Petrock’s looked absolutely beautiful yesterday afternoon, on a glorious summers’ day, when we had our annual Pimm’s and Praise service. Thank you to our talented flower arrangers who created such fine seasonal displays for us to enjoy. Rev Nicola and Allan Sutton worked together to give us a creative and inspiring collection of bible readings, poetry, prose, a reflection and hymns – even Holst’s Mercury featured! – with William Fuest on the organ, as we celebrated the majesty of the skies and the universe. Another lovely village collaboration which was happily rounded off with Pimm’s and a selection of very tasty nibbles made by volunteers. Thank you all! Marion and Kate

You are very welcome to join us for our annual August Pimms and Praise service at St Petrock’s Church next Sunday 10th August at 5pm. A light Sunday service lead by Rev Nicola with poetry and readings, followed by Pimms and refreshments. We hope to see you there! Kate and Marion

Just a little reminder for anyone able and willing to help us maintain our beautiful village churchyard – the next monthly Saturday morning session for all volunteers is 2nd August between 10am and 12 noon. All ages and abilities welcomed, for whatever time you can manage between these times, when there will be others to help and advise you. Simply bring your gardening gloves and any tools you wish to use. We remove the green waste for you.
