We’re really sorry to let you know that Timberscombe Show 2021 has had to be cancelled again this year. The uncertainties and restrictions that prevail are such that printing the schedules and buying the trophies are too large an expense to risk having to cancel at a later date.
BUT THE GOOD NEWS is that we intend to run an exhibition of crafts and pastimes in September. We know that lots of villagers have kept themselves busy over the last, difficult, year with hobbies and crafts and we’d like to see what you’ve made and think other people would like to see them too.
Painting, drawing, knitting sewing, embroidery, jewellery making, limerick writing, photography, wood and metal working – anything, in fact, that you’ve been working on; we’d love to see it.
Also the children: we’ve all seen the beautiful pebbles around the village and I’m sure there are other projects they have been working on too. Bring them along.
More details will be given at a later date, but, for now, mark the week-end of 18th – 20th September in your diaries.
Refreshments will be served if permitted.
