This piece of wood was fished out of the water from under the bridge by the pub. A second piece was reported but had already washed downstream by the time I arrived.

If you live upstream please check your boundaries for loose wood and secure them firmly.

Wood like this has the potential to catch other vegetation and cause a serious blockage and possibly flooding if it is trapped under the bridge.

Temporary Road Closure: ttro749983W(WS) – Minehead To Williton Road and Huish Lane, Old Cleve

The works are expected to commence on 15th October 2024 and last for 10 nights (19:00 -06:00) to enable National Grid to change and erect poles. 

The contractor has indicated that access for Emergency Services through the site is not permitted on this occasion.
