The Exmoor Society

The Society is seeking to appoint an Honorary Treasurer to join its Board of Trustees in September 2021. The Society is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered with the Charity Commission. Duties include the preparation of annual accounts to comply with charitable legislation, preparation of an annual budget and bi-monthly financial statements against that budget along with other financial responsibilities.

The Board meets on the first Monday of alternate months, commencing in February each year. Recently these meetings have been via Zoom but hopefully face-to-face meetings will re-commence soon. The AGM is held on the 3^rd Saturday in September.

I moved to Timberscombe from Hampshire last year just before the lockdown in March

I have been a Scout leader for ten years and am now the Beaver Scout Leader for the 1st Exmoor Scout Group

Beavers meet on Wednesday evenings 6 – 7.15 during school term time at Alcombe Scout Hut

Beavers is for boys and girls aged 6 – 8 years but can start from age 5 3/4.

Anyone wishing to enrol their child should go to the 1st Exmoor scouts website
