A property in Church Street, Dunster has been the subject of an attempted burglary on the 15th between 8am and 8:45am. The offender has tried to gain access via the front office door but was unable to proceed past the main door. Damage has been caused to the door handle, but entry has not been established.

A wristwatch has been found lying on the ground at the bridge over the ford on the bridleway. It was found on the evening of 10 Aug. It will be handed into the village Post Office when it opens on 11 Aug for owner to reclaim.
