CCS job opportunities

The Community Council for Somerset is currently expanding their team and are looking to recruit individuals who want to support their local area. We want reach people who don’t necessarily have a background in similar work or relevant qualifications, but are supportive, approachable people who are passionate about their community, can use their initiative and have bucket loads of common sense.

The link to the website is below, where all of the roles are listed along with the relevant application forms.

The roles particularly aimed at West Somerset include two Somerset West & Taunton Village Agents and a Transport Agent.

John Arlott Playing Field

A new milestone achieved for John Arlott Playing Field – new toddler equipment installed, safety matting laid, benches and tables re-stained , children litter picking.
A massive thank you to all who came the last few weeks to help.
To those who help search and secure funding, to Timberscombe Parish Council , Somerset Community Fund and Magna Housing for their donations, to The Lion Inn for raffles/ collection box, Timberscombe Post Office collection box and to all who attend Table Top Sales
It has been a busy year but the results are worth it.
Thank you all
