Do you have any well-loved family recipes that you could share with us, or a newly found favourite, maybe with a local, Exmoor connection?

We would love to hear of them, along with a few words explaining why the recipes are special to you. These will be included in a new cookery book which is being produced in connection with the Heritage Lottery Funding and which will be sold to raise money for St. Petrock’s Church.

Police Warning – Telephone Scam

This message has been sent as a warning to residents:

A telephone scam is circulating across the county where residents have received telephone calls from people claiming to be from Westminster Police.

The caller states that they are investigating a crime or have a suspect in custody who has their bank details. The caller then asks them to reveal their card details for checking. A second call is often made a short while later claiming to be from their bank. Again this appears to be part of the scam.

Please remember never to give bank details to anyone you do not know or trust and do not continue conversations with persons you do not know or trust.

If you experience a similar call, please report it direct to the national fraud and cybercrime centre, Action Fraud on 0300-1232040 or via their website at http://www.actionfraud.police.uk

Dulverton Property

We have the above mentioned property which has been void from 3.12.18 available to let.

This property is subject to a S106 local connection restriction (of which I have attached a summary).

This is a 2 bedroom house with garden, shower over the bath and oil central heating.

The weekly rent is £104.74 plus £13.79 service charge.

This property was advertised several times over the last 2 months on the Somerset Homefinder website. Unfortunately there were no suitable applicants that fulfilled the S106 local connection on any of these occasions.

The property has now been re-advertised this week under advert ref: 56925 on the Somerset Homefinder website on the advert cycle from 9.1.19 to 13.1.19. In this advert we have ticked to allow under occupation of the property.

If you are aware of any possible applicants with the relevant local connection, please could you advise them to place a bid or to contact Magna Housing.

I have attached a summary of the local connection restriction. As we have advertised this property for 2 months now we can accept an applicant from Parishes within the National Park  not just those adjoining the parish of Dulverton.
