As we step into spring, there’s a real sense of renewal in the air .

We were so incredibly grateful to begin the year with well-stocked shelves thanks to your amazing Christmas generosity, and here at the Food Cupboard we would like to sustain that momentum if we can.  You can be assured every donation, every fundraiser, and every act of support directly helps local families who rely on us.

Right now, we are also seeking a new Treasurer Trustee to join our board. This is a crucial role in ensuring we can continue operating safely, sustainably, and with the strong financial oversight our community deserves. With increasing demand, having the right leadership in place has never been more important. Please reach out if you feel you could help us with this role. 

In this month’s newsletter, you’ll read about the difference your support has already made — from 190 Christmas bags delivered to families, to generous local donations and community partnerships. You’ll also find ways to help us continue this essential work.

I am very excited to announce that the Somerset Health & Wellbeing survey is now live and will run until Monday 27^th April.  Anyone who is a resident in Somerset and aged 18+ is welcome to take part.

The survey covers a range of topics including physical activity, mental health and wellbeing, smoking and vaping, alcohol and substance use, gambling, oral health, NHS Health Checks and how people access health information.
