In January 2025, we will be launching the Somerset Local Plan Call for Sites.
This is a 6-week period where landowners, developers, and site promoters can submit to us land they want to develop. This process is crucial for gathering information to help develop the Local Plan. Please note, we will not be consulting on specific proposals or encouraging submissions in particular locations during this time. Submitting a site is not a planning application and does not grant planning permission or any other status.

Moor Harmony meets every Monday at Wootton Courtenay Village Hall to enjoy singing ‘a cappella’ (without accompaniment) a wide variety of music. This ranges from African, West Gallery, folk through to modern day. We are led by a wonderful Voice Practitioner called Claire Stronach who makes our sessions very enjoyable and uplifting.
We begin 2025 sessions on Monday 6th January at 1.00-2.00pm. The charge is £9.00 but your first visit is free of charge.
So start the New Year finding a new hobby, restarting an old one and having the health benefit that comes from singing.

| The below information has been reported to one of our PCSO’s. I am sharing for your awareness.
Leaving to go to the village this morning a man was getting things from the back of a car. He asked me if I was Mrs ******** and when I said that I was he said he was coming to do a thermal imaging survey on the house for damp and insulation. He was adamant that I had booked the visit, I was equally adamant that I hadn’t. He showed me my request on his phone, I know that I didn’t email anyone. He argued that he had come a long way and that maybe I didn’t remember booking it, but I follow advice that if I want work done, I look firms up, not accept cold calls. Attachments: |
