Micro Providers offering a care solution  Across West Somerset

West Somerset Micro-Providers

My name is Victoria James and I am the Network Lead for West Somerset Micro-Providers, I live and work across West Somerset and care passionately that people are able to access the care that may be needed to stay at home for as long as it is possible.

What is a Micro-Provider?

In 2007 Somerset County Council set up a community scheme that enabled people that needed care and or support to have the support needed to stay at home.   Just like the community that may need help, the community that offers this support are called Micro Providers.  Each Micro- Provider is self-employed, so either paid privately by the person or the Micro Provider is paid by Somerset County Council.  If you need care then it is your choice how this works for you.   Somerset County Council ensures that every Micro-Provider meets the high standards set by the local authority. All are insured and have a DBS (criminal records check) ensuring that the support offered is safe and I and Somerset County Council have a robust quality assurance support if it is needed.

If I can help with more information or you would like to discuss how we can help? or if you would like to become a Micro-Provider, please contact me on the following number 07475803652 or by email – Westsomersetmicroproviders@proton.me
