St Petrock’s Gardening Club.

The Gardening Club held its Annual Plant Sale and Cream on 27th May at St Petrock’s Church. We were very lucky with the weather. Thank you to everyone who contributed in various ways; lovely scones and cakes available, a good array of plants, some garden equipment donated and a lively tombola stall, plus all the valuable help on the stalls helped to make this an enjoyable and successful event. Thank you to all who came and supported it, it was good to see so many people. Thanks to you we raised £431 to help boost the funds. We hope to hold another plant sale next year around the same time.

St. Petrock’s Churchyard

We would love some help in the churchyard, to weed the roses, sweep and weed the paths and strip the ivy off some of the gravestones. To this end we will be meeting on the first Saturday of each month (commencing on 6th July) from 10.00 am.If you can spare the time to help please come along, bringing any gardening tools you may have, plus gardening gloves, and we shall be most pleased and grateful to see you.  If you can only spend half an hour or so you will still be most welcome, someone will be there until about
12.00 pm each session. Please give me a ring on 841490 if you would like to have a chat about it, or just turn up on the day.  Thank you – Jenny Gratton
