MOTHERING SUNDAY

Sunday 10th March is Mothering Sunday and there is a special service to mark our mothers, at 11am in St Petrock’s Church. You are very welcome to come along and join in. We invite you to bring along pictures of your mother and/or grandmother to display so we can see and appreciate them. Maybe we can even try to work out who their children are! Rev Nicola has baked a simnel cake to enjoy after the service with tea and coffee. A lovely St Petrock’s tradition is to hand out a posy of flowers to all who come along to this annual celebration. We do look forward to seeing you there.

GARDENING CLUB

Don’t forget the new season of the gardening club begins tonight (Monday) at 7.30pm in the church. Our speaker this month is James Cordingley, head gardener at Dunster Castle which is what his talk will be about. Membership is due for the year this month at £10, with £1 per meeting and £3 for visitors. There will be a raffle and refreshments after the talk. The competition this month is ‘the best flower in my garden’ to be judged by James ( he doesn’t know this yet). We look forward to seeing you.
