Remembering Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

St Petrock’s Church and community of Timberscombe extend their sympathies to the King and Queen Consort and to all in their family at this sad time.

On Friday 9th the church bells will be tolled, half muffled, at 12 noon.

The flag will fly at half mast on Friday until Saturday 11am when it will be raised to full height to mark the new Monarch until Sunday at 1pm. Thereafter the flag will be flown at half mast and remain at this height until the day after the funeral.

A Book of Condolence will be available in the church for anyone who would like to add their name and a message. You will be most welcome so to do. The church will be open between 9am – 5pm as usual. Online national Books of Condolence will also be available.

ST PETROCK’S HISTORY GROUP

Our next meeting on Monday 19th September at 7pm will focus on some excellent research conducted by Paul Sheldon over the period of covid lockdown and beyond, to locate and identify churchyard memorials and gravestones using a systematic method.

We are delighted that he will present his work to the History Group and hope as many villagers will attend as possible to listen and see what he has prepared. All are welcome!
