TGN
Timberscombe Good Neighbours would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who has donated to our funds. We have to raise our own money and the Covid pandemic has made this difficult to do.
We are very grateful for all your kindness.

Waste collections are changing
From the end of February these items will be added to the weekly recycling collections:
- plastic pots, tubs and trays
- food & drink cartons (Tetra Pak etc)
- small household batteries
- small electrical items (kettles etc)
A new recycling container – a Bright Blue Bag – is delivered to all homes.
With more being recycled, rubbish is collected every three weeks, not two.
Collection days will change for more than half of households.
Look out for further updates nearer the time.
We are running several out of hours Facebook “Q&A days” about Recycle More where we will field any questions about the new service.
They will run from 7am to 7pm. Please join in and promote them in your communities and with colleagues, family and friends.
To take part, just visit the Facebook page @somersetwaste and post questions as comments on the Q&A day’s post.
The Q&A dates are as follows:
• Monday 10 January
• Wednesday 26 January
• Friday 18 February
• Wednesday 16 March

Carol Service – St Petrock’s Church
The Traditional Christmas Carol Service will take place as planned at St Petrock’s Church this Sunday 19th at 3pm. All are welcome and to enjoy refreshments afterwards.
In light of the current coronavirus situation it is essential for everyone attending to wear a face mask or covering (unless exempt) which we kindly ask you to wear even whilst singing carols.
We will ensure that the church is as well ventilated as possible and ask you to please sanitise your hands on arrival.
We thank you for your co-operation and look forward to seeing you there. If you feel unwell or are experiencing any of the known covid symptoms, we respectfully ask you not to attend.
