It’s coming up to our monthly all-help-is-welcome Saturday morning this 12th September, where you are very welcome to come and help us maintain our village churchyard. There is now plenty to be done and all hands are welcome! Please just bring your gardening gloves and appropriate tools and we will remove the green waste. Even if you can only offer half an hour, it all comes together to make an appreciable difference. Thank you to our faithful regulars and welcome to any new hands! Marion and Kate

This Thursday 10th September is when Warm Welcome resumes in St Petrock’s Church from 10am to 12 noon. This is a weekly get together for all villagers and visitors to Timberscombe where you can meet and mix with other folk whilst enjoying cakes, scones and hot refreshments. There is no charge. There are facilities in the church and an accessible ramp can be provided. If you haven’t been to one of these friendly weekly (termtime) drop in events, then please do give it a try! Just a reminder that Gardening Club is tonight in the church at 7.30pm. Sally Nex will be talking about Heritage Vegetables. Her talk last year was very enjoyable. A good evening with refreshments and raffle afterwards. Don’t forget the best flower in your garden for the competition. See you there.
