Our December meeting, 8th December, will be a social affair, with a brief ‘business meeting ‘ to begin, after which members can chat and socialise . There may even be a quiz to test our horticultural knowledge! We look forward to welcoming everyone. No fee for this evening’s meeting.
Refreshments and mulled wine will be on offer. There will also be a raffle.

We are now in the autumn equinox, following a very hot summer. Two outings to two beautiful gardens in May and June – with good weather. Thank you to everyone who helped with, contributed to and supported our Plant Sale at the end of May. We raised £430, which helps with the fees for our speakers.
The Village Annual Show was held in August and many members of the Garden Club supported and entered this.
[ full report/ results of the show are available – e mail Pauline]
The Secretary has almost completed the programme for next year. Look out for details in the future.
Our small, friendly, gardening club has been running since 2012 meeting in in St Petrock’s Church at 7.30pm on the 1st Monday of each month, unless other wise stated, commencing in March.
We have a variety of speakers, on a wide range of topics, followed by a raffle and refreshments. A competition of ‘the best flower in my garden today’ is held at each meeting and a small prize is awarded, at our annual Christmas social, for the most points over the year.
Members are encouraged to grow seedlings and plants to sell at our popular annual plant sale and cream tea. We try to have two trips to local gardens, with a cream tea afterwards, during the summer months. We also encourage members to support the Village Show, held annually, in August.
Subscriptions will remain at £10 a year and then £1 per meeting. New members and visitors are always welcome.
