03/04/2020 : L01-20 | THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND POLICE AND CRIME PANELS (CORONAVIRUS) (FLEXIBILITY OF LOCAL AUTHORITY AND POLICE AND CRIME PANEL MEETINGS) (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2020 The above 2020 Regulations enable local councils to hold remote meetings (including by video and telephone conferencing) for a specified period until May next year. They also remove the requirement to hold an annual meeting. Therefore, the current chairman will remain in place until an annual meeting is held (possibly next year).

Members of the public may attend the meeting by emailing the clerk (details below) and requesting the login details. These will be sent, once your identity has been verified.
Any member of the public may make a presentation to the meeting (no more than three minutes), by submitting a written summary to the Clerk, no later than 24 hours prior to the meeting, by email. Alternatively, the Clerk will read the statement out in full at the PC meeting.
Some online video council meetings in Somerset have been trolled and disrupted with unsuitable behaviour and so the PC are taking these steps to ensure that the safety of all who take part can be assured.
