ENP Review

Exmoor National Park Authority is seeking views on the Local Plan as part of the 5-year Local Plan Review process.

All Local Planning Authorities are legally required to undertake a review of their Local Plans within 5 years to assess whether they need updating. The Exmoor National Park Local Plan was adopted in July 2017, and the 5-year review therefore needs to be completed by July 2022. Exmoor National Park Authority is currently reviewing the Plan to establish whether it remains effective and if any changes are needed although this does not automatically mean a full or partial review of the Local Plan needs to be carried out.

The survey provides an opportunity to have your say on whether the Exmoor National Park Local Plan policies remain effective and up to date. The survey is based on the interim conclusions that have been drawn from the evidence and analysis carried out so far and which we are seeking your views on.

Further information on the 5-year Local Plan Review, and evidence and interim topic papers prepared as part of the review, are available on the following webpage: https://www.exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy/local-plan/local-plan-review-survey where a link to the survey can also be found. The survey is arranged into three sections although it is not necessary to respond to all sections or all questions if you do not wish to do so. Responses will be accepted until 28th February 2022.

Yours faithfully
