Thank you so very much to Allan Sutton and his excellent team who presented a wonderful and humorous start to the season of Advent last Friday with a series of well-chosen readings interspersed with hand bell performances. The mulled wine and stollen were all very much part of a seasonal production which was enjoyed by a large number of villagers and visitors. Thanks to all who helped make this a thoroughly memorable evening which also raised the handsome sum of £188.20 to assist with church heating costs.
Another heartfelt thank you is sent to everybody who made our Christmas coffee and craft morning which took place last Saturday another community event and success for St Petrock’s funds. The cost of maintaining a Listed building and making it fully available for us all is an expensive task, and one which events like this help support in a very meaningful way. The amazing sum of £766 was raised through the sale of refreshments, excellent home made produce and cakes, raffles, gifts and donations from craft stalls. We couldn’t have done this without your help and the whole PCC team worked hard to make sure there was something for everyone. Thank you all, and in particular our helpers on the day.

Messy Church 10th December 11am
This Sunday 10th there will be a Messy Church service at 11am led by Rev Nicola Butt. This means that along with our usual congregation a particular welcome is extended to children and their parents to enjoy a service geared for young minds and with challenges and activities (and food!) to suit them. Do please let us know if you are coming for catering purposes. Voluntary contributions are welcome.
