Not unexpectedly, the work to complete the first part of Great House Street as far as Willow Bank was not completed on Friday as promised, as the workmen did not have sufficient tarmac !

The first part of the road will now be open until Wednesday 14th , when the tarmac lorry will return to finish the job. You should, therefore, expect no access to Great House Street on Wednesday 14th August.

The hole outside Butterflies also requires further work but I am told that this can be done without blocking the road.

There continues to be problems beyond the Willow Bank junction, with yet another machinery breakdown slowing the work. Residents beyond the Willow Bank junction should expect road blockages for up to another week  😦
