Leaving to go to the village this morning a man was getting things from the back of a car. He asked me if I was Mrs ******** and when I said that I was he said he was coming to do a thermal imaging survey on the house for damp and insulation. He was adamant that I had booked the visit, I was equally adamant that I hadn’t. He showed me my request on his phone, I know that I didn’t email anyone. He argued that he had come a long way and that maybe I didn’t remember booking it, but I follow advice that if I want work done, I look firms up, not accept cold calls.
