A group of mothers have walked the 90 miles (145km) around the boundary of Exmoor National Park to raise money for their children’s schools.

The Moorland Mums group of eight women have raised more than £10,500 for the Moorland Federation, which runs nine schools in west Somerset.

“It was more about giving something back to our already brilliant schools that offer so much with small budgets and limited resources,” said Jasmine Willford from Wheddon Cross.

Naomi Philp, Executive Head Teacher at the Moorland Federation said: “The realities of school funding can limit the extent of additional enrichment opportunities and so these funds will mean a huge amount to our schools.”

Maybe we can do our bit to help them get to £15k!!!
