We were blessed with wonderful weather last Saturday and the Village Hall welcomed a good crowd to look around the Annual Show. Thank you for the generous prizes donated for the raffle. Thanks also go to: the organisers, those who helped in the days before and on the day, the judges who we call on every year, Timberscombe First School, the Lion and Sarah in the PO, to all the enthusiastic exhibitors, including many new folk, who gave us all a good selection of talents to be admired, [what about those carrots!!!] Finally a big thank you to everyone who came along to give their support.

The Village Show is on the horizon – 16^th August 2025 – held in the Village Hall – 2.30pm

Schedules and Entry Forms have been delivered around the village. There are spares in the P.O and the Lion.

We encourage and welcome everyone from Timberscombe to have a go, from the oldest, most experience to the youngest. We offer novice classes in Floral Arrangements and Handicrafts and 3 classes for ‘newcomers’ in the Veg Section. The Domestic Section set recipe is Chocolate Chip Cookies – for adults and children. There are five photo classes and the set knitting pattern is still available in the PO for you to try.

Dead line for Entry Forms is August 8^th. Some have already arrived!! 

The auction raises extra money for the Village Hall – don’t forget to tick the auction box on the entry form.

Donations of good raffle prizes would much appreciated.

We look forward to seeing exhibitors and visitors.

Timberscombe Show 16^th August 2025. 

Update on the Village Show preparations  – the schedule is with the printers and will be available in due course. But there are activities to temp your creative juices that you can be getting on with in the meantime.

The Set Knitting Pattern, a very easy folded dog, which will be sent to St Michael’s Baby Unit in Bristol, is now available for you to collect from the Post Office. Once again thank you to Sarah for accommodating these.

The Photo Classes, which should be coloured unless stated and measure not more than 5 x 9 ins [125 x 180mm] including mount if used, are as follows.
