Craft Group Tuesday 2-4 at the Old Dairy Community Centre. Attempting macramé. If interested please bring scissors, a comb or wire dogs brush and a smooth chopping board. As always you are more than welcome to bring your own work or have a go at any of the other crafts we keep on site. There are always people willing to help if you want to learn a new craft or just come for a cup of tea and a chat.

St. Petrock’s Gardening Club is Monday at 7.30pm. The talk is on otters by Mr Ian Anderson. Otters have a fragile population and are well monitored by volunteers in Somerset. It should be an interesting subject. Come along and find out more about these fascinating creatures. £1 for members £3 for visitors. Refreshments and gossip afterwards plus the raffle. Don’t forget to bring the best flower in your garden.

| A cyclist has sadly died following a road-related incident near Minehead on (Tuesday 27 August).
Officers responded to a report of a cyclist colliding with a wall on the A39 Porlock Hill, in Porlock, at around 3.30pm. Despite the efforts of members of the public who provided first aid and emergency personnel, a man died at the scene. We have informed the man’s next of kin and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. They are being provided with relevant support from officers. The family wish to thank those who stopped at the incident and provided first aid. We are appealing for witnesses and anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to contact us.
