Bells
Our church bells appear to be popular at the moment. There will be a quarter peal rung at St. Petrocks at 12.30pm on Wednesday 29th. It will last for approximately 45 minutes. Time to listen to some good ringing.
Thanks, Elisabeth

Great House Street water
The Parish Council have been working with Somerset Council to try to solve the water puddling in the roadway in Great House Street. In September Somerset Council undertook jetting of the drains, in order to be able to inspect any problems. Some anomalies in the system were discovered. We are waiting feedback from this report.
If work is needed to repair drains this will not happen until the next financial year, as work has already been scheduled for this financial year. The Parish Council is working to ensure that any closure of the road takes place at the same time as the Wessex Water closure, to minimise disruption to the residents.
This still leaves us with the cold winter months to negotiate before any work could be done. As a short-term measure Somerset Council have provided the parish with a salt bag to place in the running water. The bag has holes which permit a small amount of salt to dissolve into the running water, thus reducing the chance of the water freezing. Salt is only effective to -4 degrees.
The salt bag should be placed in the water when freezing conditions are expected and removed when the weather is milder. Please do not move this salt bag unless you know that the above conditions apply.
Thank you.
