For those able to help with our monthly churchyard clearance and maintenance, for October this will be next Saturday 12^th October between 10am and 12 noon instead of tomorrow. We have a number of our regular volunteers unavailable so we hope this change of date will suit more people. We continue to be very grateful indeed to those who can spare some time to help tend a beautiful peaceful churchyard at the heart of the village. Next month is as usual on Saturday 2nd November. Thank you.

A big thank you to everyone who was involved in the recent curry and quiz held in the Lion Inn, in aid of church funds.

We are very grateful to Malcolm who allowed us to hold our sell out evening in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of The Lion Inn.

The evening started with a choice of three delicious curries cooked by Marion, Nicola and Wendy. Kate cooked vats of rice to accompany the curries with poppadoms and mango chutney on the side. There were helpers in the kitchen to serve and wash up. It was a very slick operation!

Richard then started a very comprehensive and fun quiz; he was an excellent quiz master.

Many rounds later, interspersed with a raffle, the winners were awarded a tub of chocolates and those in last place, a curly wurly each!

Thank you again to the cooks, helpers, those who donated items and those who attended. We raised a fantastic total of £435 for church funds.
