Harvest Festival and Supper

Don’t forget this Sunday 1st October at 6pm our Harvest Service will be held in St Petrock’s with poems, readings and seasonal worship lead by Rev Nicola, amongst the beauty of a church decorated with all the traditional fruit, vegetables and flowers of harvest-time. A retiring collection will be held in aid of Water Aids Harvest Festival Appeal 2023. Afterwards, you are very welcome to join us for a Harvest Supper following on in the Village Hall.We look forward to seeing you there!

Sewing Group

On 11th October between 6-8pm there will be a meeting in The Lion Inn to discuss and plan for a village sewing group to come together and create a new community hanging, known as a reredos, to be placed in St Petrock’s Church. This is a lovely concept which a new resident to the village, Adele, has proposed. If you would like to come along to a first meeting where this idea can be discussed, you would be extremely welcome. If you have materials which can be donated to a village resources ‘sewing box’ to help our volunteers, this would be gratefully received. See you there!

Warm Welcome

Just a reminder that the weekly Warm Welcome in St Petrock’s Church is now up and running on a Thursday morning from 10am for 2 hours. You are invited to drop in for free drinks and refreshments at any time to meet others from the village who enjoy a chat and the company of others.
